It taught me how to show up with confidence, lift others up, and yes, nail a perfect high kick when the moment calls for it. But outside of cheer, I’m just Maria—the girl who can spend hours laughing with friends over the dumbest inside jokes, who’s always down for spontaneous adventures, and who secretly believes that every problem in life can be solved with either tacos, ice cream, or a good playlist.
I’m also a total fitness junkie, but not in the intimidating, “live at the gym” kind of way. For me, staying active is all about balance and joy. Some days that means cheer practice or a long run by the beach, other days it’s yoga on my bedroom floor, and sometimes it’s just dancing around my living room in pajamas because a song I love came on shuffle.

I’d describe myself as outgoing, playful, and always up for a challenge. I’m the friend who convinces everyone to do karaoke when nobody else wants to go first. I’m the girl who’s cheering you on (literally and figuratively) when you need motivation. But I’m also down-to-earth—I know when it’s time to switch gears and just enjoy a chill night in.

My Ideal Weekend 🗓️
Friday night: Meeting up with friends, maybe hitting a fun sports game or checking out a rooftop bar.
Saturday: Sleeping in a little, then grabbing brunch (I’m a sucker for good avocado toast). Later, probably a beach day, complete with volleyball, music, and way too much sunscreen. Saturday night might be dancing out somewhere—or hosting a game night where I get way too competitive over trivia.
Sunday: A slower pace. Morning yoga, a coffee run, and maybe catching up on a show or sketching out ideas for a new cheer routine. By evening, I’m usually ready for some cozy downtime and a good chat.
